The Snowboarding Life

This week, I went snowboarding with my friends and brothers on Apr. 2nd, 2016. I woke up, I looked around and realized it was the morning. It was around 9:00 A.M. and I was pretty shaken up. I needed to pack up my things and get ready to go to Grouse Mountain to go snowboard. I got up lazily and blinked a few times to get my eyes to focus... I went to the second bathroom on the third story. I brushed my teeth for a few minutes then I flossed all my teeth. I went down stairs and dressed into my snowboarding gear. My brothers were talking about going to Grouse Mountain, I was pretty excited about it. I talked to my brothers, "hey, are you guys ready to go?" My brothers complained about waking up, "Livy... I feel really tired.." I ignored them, I needed to do my blog. I was going to use my brothers phone to take a few pictures of the scenery on the mountain.

I knew I needed to take some pictures for the blog. After eating breakfast and talking about games, I put the skis and snowboards on the car. My mother gave us my brother and my Y2Play, a pass used for 2 years. I took an orange juice box and started drinking on it, as on cue the car started. I started to talk with my brother, "hey Lion! Later when we meet Jason, Rich, and Richard who should we ditch.." my brother ignored me and tried to pretend that he didn’t hear me. I stared at him. I finished the orange juice box and put to the side. I woke up we were almost there we were driving to the gondola.

I probably went to sleep because I probably didn’t sleep enough. My mother stopped the car at the drop-off place. I saw Jason, Rich and Richard grabbing their own snowboard and skis. I got off and grabbed my gloves and snowboard. I started to change my shoes to my snowboarding boots. I yelled at Jason, he was wearing an orange coat wearing orange goggles and a black helmet, "Jason, sup!" I knew I was excited I can’t wait. Snowboarding is like a small addiction. I was wearing a black shirt a black helmet and had black pants and a pair of white clear goggles. The goggles are so comfortable that sometime I don’t realize that it is on the side a bit. My brothers were telling me to hurry up a bit. I knew I needed to go to the washroom. The public washroom is really clean and I happily came back to the gondola not wanting to miss the ride. As I ascended upwards for a 6 minute ride to a mountain of 11,000 feet above sea level (I think). I took a few pictures. I talked to my friends I looked up at the mountain and thought...I need to get in the parts were I could get lots of words in this blog. I exited the Sky lift entrance to find myself with all the snow. There wasn’t as much as the first time I came here during Spring Break. I started walking upwards toward the "Cut" a harder level. I went up to the slope and sat on my butt technically fell on my butt and waited for my friends to catch up. Meanwhile I made a snowball and threw at my friends. It was probably about 10:00 A.M. by now. My friends threw snowballs back at me wasting more precious time. We only had about 2 hours of time. I strapped my two feet in the bindings attached to the snowboard.

The ground had lots of dried up places since of the sun but there was ice and a lot of thick snow I could basically cannon ball into and not getting hurt. I started down the slope and bent my knees. I was I beginner after all I only snowboarded 3 times this time being the 4th time. As I got down to a steeper mountain-side I waited for my friends, and took my 1st selfie on the mountain. I stood up and took a picture of the mountain full of trees. I started down again and hoped that my friends won’t ditch me, the worst thing for me is my friends ditching me. My friend Rich says that he won’t ditch me. I sighed and smiled it was good news but my other friends might ditch me... I snowboarded with Rich down the blue lane. My brothers were picking up in front of me. I went a bit quicker down to the Blueberry Bowl. It took about a good 20 minutes to get down there. I took another 2 pictures and took a selfie with Rich. Rich and I quickly clambered to the Ski-lift even though it also carries snowboards. I took a picture on the Ski-lift and rested silently. As I got up I talked with Rich, he lost his goggles but he still had his blue GIRO helmet. Later on I took a picture of Peak. Warning don’t try this: I also took an extremely risky move filming with a phone and having a contest with my friend Richard. We saw who could take the most selfies during the most dangerous time...After filming going down Heaven’s Sake, Rich complained about being thirsty, so I suggested a really bad idea, and I said stupidly because I wanted to have some fun. I said, "Rich why don’t you eat/drink some snow?" I laughed with the stupid smile on my face. Rich laughed, but said no. I snowboarded some more by then Jason, my brother Liri and Lion already ditched Richard, Rich and me. Jason, Liri and Lion were probably halfway-down the mountain already. I hurried Richard to come. Rich followed Richard and I laughed I was going really quick. During about the hour and half, I fell at least 10 times. I did the blue lane a few more times and caught up to Jason and the others. We finally did the blue lane one last time together, I was practicing jumping on the many bumps down the mountain. By then I was really tired and we headed to Peak Chalet. We ate some fries and ate some instant noodles and went down the gondola to go home.
