Sneaker Heads

NOTE: If you read my last blog about cats you would have read about my neighbourhood cat that Ive been feeding. I wasn't sure if he had an owner but I see him now with a pink collar. I described that the hair was coarse and was in clumps. My sister eventually cut the clumps off and after that you can see how skinny he is. Im not a vet I don't know if a cat is too skinny or too fat plus I can't really see him that well with the rest of his hair in the way. If I see the owner I'll ask him or her about the condition of their cat.

Most of you guys probably haven't heard of the term sneaker head. Maybe the exception of Phoebe, because yes I see you with your Bape shirt and your Alternate 84 Jordan 4s.

I don't like calling myself a sneaker head because it makes me seem like I'm bragging and saying that I'm rich. Basically what a sneaker head is is a person with background knowledge on sneakers, a person who collects rare and or exclusive sneakers or buys and sells sneakers. Now that you know what a sneaker head is you can learn the terms.

First off terms. Hypebeast, Colourway, Bred, Kanye Effect, DS, VNDS, Retro, Beater, OG, OBO ah blah blah. You might know some of them like OBO, HMU or OG because its text talk and it's not necessarily shoe talk but it's part of shoe talk.

Hypebeast Colourway

A person who only cares about A colour scheme of a shoe. what other people like (celebs)

or whats hot. Basically the Bred

hipsters of sneaker culture. A popular OG colourway. Black

and red.

The Kanye Effect OG

Whenever Kanye is seen wearing Original gangster. Used when

or endorsing a shoe the resell describing a colourway that was

value skyrockets up most of the released with the shoes original

time. release or a shoe from the original

original release.

DS/VNDS

Deadstock and Very Near Dead-

Stock. Used when describing

if a shoe is new or worn once

but is essentially new.

If you're a person who is really out there and likes being colourful you would wear something like Nike Multicolour Flyknits or any Nike What Thes. There are many types of flyknit shoes. Nike Free, Nike Air Max, Nike Roshe Run and Flyknit racers which are the top tier of flyknit. The cool thing about multicolour flyknits by Nike is that no 2 shoes are woven the same so there is no specific pattern for multicolour flyknits. What Thes are typically made for basketball shoes.

If you're a person who dresses subtly you would wear some Jordan cement 3 and 4 they both have elephant print. It's a perfect shoe if you like dressing up but still keeping it casual. Also oreo flyknits black and white flyknits very light and breathable perfect for summer. Recently Adidas has released some knew technology. Boost technology. It's one of the most comfortable shoes out there but the resell is unreal.

Some hot brands for apparel are Undefeated, Supreme, Huff and Cotton On. Cotton On and H&M are places to get some trending clothes for cheap. Supreme is an OG skate brand. Supreme is all about branding if you look at their apparel it's literally a red block with Supreme in italics. Sometimes fashion is weird but that's just my opinion and I'd love to hear yours.
