Would Kanye Make a Good U.S. President?
Greetings members of Division 2. This blog is dedicated to discussing my thoughts on Kanye West and his decision to run in the 2020 U.S. presidential elections.
To begin on August 30th, 2015 Kanye West after receiving his Video Vanguard Award at the VMA’s he announced that he would run in the 2020 U.S. elections then dropped the mic and walked away. People cheered but the question is, would Kanye West make a good president? The first time I heard this I immediately decided that he would be a terrible president but then I started thinking more about it. Kanye is very famous and has a way on convincing people to do his bidding. He has also a lot of fame due to his relationship with his famous for no reason wife Kim Kardashian. Secondly he knows what people want. He has sold millions of albums of his music and was named one of the most influential people in the world. I personally believe that he doesn’t have experience with politics and would drive America to the ground but I still think it would be better than Donald Trump being president. If Donald Trump is president many people will likely try to leave the country or emigrate.
What will happen if Kanye West becomes president?
The worst Kanye would do is plummet the economy, which is because Congress and the Senate would make most of the decisions. I don’t believe that if Kanye becomes president he would start any wars but if a war happens I don’t believe Kanye would be able to handle fighting a war. I’m not sure about the American policy but I don’t think Kanye would last very long as president and I think he might be voted out. If Kanye is weak as a president then other countries might think America will not stand and maybe people will attack or invade America for its resources and military weaponry.
Can Kanye become president?
We all know Kanye is very famous and well known by many Americans and other people. Most people though think like I do and would vote for the more experienced government officials to become president. Kanye’s chance to become president also depends on who wins the 2016 U.S. elections. If Bernie Sanders wins and America loves him then they might re-elect him. If Kanye loses in 2020 if he does run then maybe he wouldn’t try again to run in 2024. Kanye fits all the requirements to become president such as being over 35 and being born in the country but is unlikely to become the head of state. Still if I choose between Kanye West and Donald Trump I would choose Kanye. All in all I think if Kanye puts in the effort and learns to lead then he can become president. In conclusion Kanye West may be a good “people person” but will not make a good President of the United States. Still if I had a choice to choose between Donald Trump or Kanye the political side of me would choose Trump but I would choose Kanye.
