Sam the Flying Dog and Skateboarding Abandoned Waterparks

Sam the Flying Dog

My first post is about a stuffed dog named Sam. Sam has had many enjoyable years with the people who work at the ‘English lakes Hotels and Resorts and Venues’. Nothing could top the experience of him going into space. You can think of it as a way to repay the dog for being their Hotel mascot. Sam was sent to the edge of space. He was sent there by the students at ‘Morecambe Bay Community Primary School’ as an educational science project. On his way there he had reached an altitude of 25km above earth. His transport balloon then popped. Sam also had some GPS tracking equipment and cameras attached to him. The friendly dog Sam was launched into space on Tuesday April 5 via helium balloon. Now, they are on the hunt to find Sam as they know he had landed somewhere on earth. Whoever finds him and brings him safely to the school children will be rewarded a complimentary stay at the iconic art deco 4 star Midland Hotel.

Responsibility is important!

This next piece of news I would like to share is pretty interesting. This news is about kids falling into their parents. In fact, 50% of the things that parents do children will think is ok, especially all bad habits. This is also noticeable in the way kids are choosing their friends. If a parent has friends only in the community of their religion then the child is more likely to prefer kids that they meet at their church and kids that will be of a same religion, rather than anyone in any other community. This behavior can develop as usually as early as the age of 4. This kind of parent copying pattern happens a lot more than we believe. One example is also: Using the phone while driving - 91% of teens have witnessed their parents using their phones while driving. 90% of those kids are most likely to do it as well. A study that was commissioned in Australia in 2013 by the Intellectual Property Awareness Foundation revealed that parental influence was a key factor in influencing the behavior of kids age 12 to 17 – It is called Piracy. This article was updated on April 11, 2016 on a website called Can-india.com, article name ‘Children mimic the bad habits of their parents’. (Meaning of mimic: to imitate or copy something in action).

Skating on the Crazy side of Town!

My last piece of news is for all of you, skateboarders out there and this might make you very happy. In Dubai, what used to be ‘Atlantis Aquaventure Park’ is now a skateboarder's dream. This water park is, as we know, huge in size. The slides are massive and everything there is meant for a couple of tubes to be sliding on or maybe a couple of skateboarders. The water park was once a dream of fun coming to life, but now several rides are closed. Some parts of the rides are broken and there is not enough money for much needed repairs. Alex Sorgente, Milton Martinez, and Jan Hoffman were the skateboarders skating at this water park.
